Privacy Policy

545 Foundation, formerly the Manitowish Waters Alliance Foundation, respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect through 545-foundation.org and our membership site, how we use it, and the choices you have.
What we collect
We only collect information you choose to give us:
Contact form: your name, email address and message.
Endowment interest form: your name, email address, phone number and the interests you check.
Memberships and member profiles: when you join or renew, we collect your name, mailing address, email address, phone number, membership level and renewal dates. Members also create a login (email and password) to sign in to their member profile.
Online donations: your name, contact information, gift amount and date, and any note or dedication you add.
Card payments: card details for dues and donations are entered on secure payment pages and processed by AffiniPay. We never see or store your full card number.
Event tickets: your name, contact information and order details.
Email and mail: anything you send to hello@545-foundation.org or our P.O. box.
Like most websites, our site host, Squarespace, automatically collects basic visit information such as browser type, pages viewed and general location. We use this only to see how the site is used and to improve it.
How we use it
We use your information to answer your questions, process gifts and memberships, manage member profiles, send receipts, renewal reminders and acknowledgments, share news about our events and community work, and keep accurate records as required for a 501(c)(3) nonprofit.
Our donor privacy promise
545 Foundation does not sell, rent, trade or share donor or member names, contact information or giving history with any other organization. We do not send mailings on behalf of other organizations. Information about your gifts is seen only by board members and volunteers who need it to process and acknowledge your gift. If you ask to give anonymously, we will not publish your name.
Partners who handle your information
We use a small number of trusted services to run the website and process payments. Each has its own privacy policy:
Squarespace hosts this website and stores Contact and Endowment interest form submissions.
Wild Apricot runs our membership site at manitowishwatersalliancefoundation.org. It stores member profiles and logins, handles membership sign-ups and renewals and online donations, and sends our automated emails, such as receipts, renewal reminders and event notices.
AffiniPay processes card payments made through Wild Apricot.
TicketLeap handles event ticket sales.
We do not store credit card numbers ourselves. We may also share information when required by law.
Cookies
This site uses cookies that Squarespace needs to run the site and measure visits. Our membership site uses cookies to keep members signed in. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site will still work, though you may need to sign in again.
Your choices
You can ask us at any time to update or correct your information, remove you from our mailing or email lists, or stop contacting you. Members can also sign in to their member profile at any time to view and update their information. Every newsletter and announcement includes a way to unsubscribe; receipts and renewal notices about your membership or gift will still be sent. Children
This site is meant for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Changes to this policy
If we update this policy, we will post the new version here with a new effective date.
