Manitowish Waters · Since 1972

Taking care of the place we love.

A new name. The same neighbors.

For more than 50 years we were the Manitowish Waters Alliance Foundation. In 2026 we became 545 Foundation, named for the ZIP code every one of us shares, whether we’re here all year or for the best weeks of summer.

The volunteers, the events and the purpose haven’t changed. We’re still the people who show up for Manitowish Waters.

How we give back

We serve as a leader and catalyst to provide the support needed to enrich lives and build a stronger, more connected community.

Lift up local families. Through Mani*Wish and year-round help, we make sure area kids and families in need are cared for, especially during the holidays.

Bring the community together. From the Snowmobile Poker Run to the Solstice Festival and our summer Annual Social, we create the moments that turn neighbors into friends.

Fill the gaps. We support the local organizations that make Manitowish Waters work, and step in where no one else is.

For Manitowish Waters. Forever.

We’re in the planning phase of building a permanent community endowment so the place we love is cared for long after us. Target launch in 2027.

Be part of it.

More than 300 neighbors, year-round and seasonal, make this work possible. Membership is $40 for individuals and $80 for couples, and includes an invitation to our summer Annual Social.
